I have 3 questions:
1. When I first got my car in May 2002 ('02 LX I4 Sedan), I barely drove it. So for maintenance, I went by the manual. I got the first oil change exactly 6 months later (November 2002), and the car had 2500 miles on it. The second oil change was done on May 2003, and the car had 4900 miles on it. Both times, the dealer checked all fluid levels, and everything else you could think of (their service rocks  ). My question is, is it safe for the oil to stay in the car 6 months at a time? The manual's "Severe" schedule recommends oil changes every 6 months or 3750 miles...
2. I am driving a lot more now, and in the past 2 months, I've put over a 1000 miles on the car. I guess the 8000 mile mark is coming soon. They put a sticker on my windshield stating that I have to have service done at 8000 miles. Shouldn't it be the 7500 mile service?
3. I have an Auto tranny, and I am considering getting a Tranny Cooler + Filter. What's your opinion on this?
