Numbers on the sides of cars?
One thing I was always wondering was do they give you a different number each time you race, or do they assign you a single number for a specific length of time?

It depends on the region. Our region allows for preregistration of numbers that you keep throughout the season. Or you can just show up and pick a number.

In CO, we just request a number for the season. I think it gets carried on to the next season unless it wasn't used. The same number can be used multiple times as long as there isn't more than one in each class. But your region may be different.
