haha my favorite was the run in the spec miata where people watching were nudging each other and saying "hey aren't those things fast." Well the answer is no, they're not fast, but they're fast enough to clean up at an auto x

Just went to my first event today. Loved it. Dropped 7 seconds from my first to second run. Dropped another second and a half my third for my best time. Must say I found another hobby.

congrats!
hope you attend as much as you can.
the last event i went to, I noticed that I ran alot slower when I "try to" run as fast as I can. I guess it really depends on the course. Ours was small I didnt even get a chance to hit redline in 2nd.

Ours today was pretty open. The first section I probly should have been in third gear for a moment before applying the brakes. Don't worry. I will be attending as many as I can.

Hahaha I wish I could drop 7 seconds throughout my runs I average about 1/10th to 1/2 second from my 1st and last run. But then again I get 1st anyway I am Mr. Consistent.

The funny thing is that when I crossed the finish on my first run I thought it was pretty good...no cones down...pretty high on the RPM throughout...pretty smooth. When I looked up and saw 67.142 I was like "whhhhhhhaaaaaa? how the hell are these people getting 55?" I thought I was doomed to suck at auto crossing. So I was happy when the times came down a bit
