AutoX: SCCA SWDivisional #1 - San Antonio, Texas.
My local organization is hosting an SCCA divisional in 2 weeks at the Tire/Vehicle Test Center in Pearsall Texas: the grippiest 800 x 800 ft of asphalt in the state, and the course designer is regionally-reknowned Roger 'The Real' Johnson. Its just outside San Antonio Texas.
Huge selling point: SCCA trial memberships are FREE!!
For more info: http://www.spokes.org/TVTC.htm
If you sign up by this weekend no late fees!! And registration is $50. That is ~$25 cheaper than a national tour, and you get the SAME experience!!!
Locally we have 3 SCCA 2005 national champions, several multi-time national level trophiers, and some 7 SCCA boardmembers (SEB and class boards). This is what is so great about this sport: you get to go head to head with the best, see how you measure up, talk to the boardmembers and then at the end of the day: share a few drinks with them in the SPOKES biergarten.
If you live anywhere near by, and have EVER wanted to autocross at a big event, this is one you can't miss....

Does anyone live down hurr in tha dirty souf? Ya'll must be yankees..... so what is the deal?
Is it ya'll are afraid of my 4-wheel-steering? I promise you I can't drive (especially lately), and I'll be either on brand new tires, or super slick, heat-cycled to death Azenis... that can't be it.
Is it all the SCCA people? Yeah talking to them sucks, especially the way they are so willing to help out and coach others along...is that it?
It must be our Biergarten...I mean, yeah, hoisting a few ice cold berrs on a hot summers day, after racin' hard...yeah that doesn't sound like fun at all!!
