I just want to let any potential participants know that there's an AROC (Alfa Romeo Owners Club) Autocross event on Sunday May 15 in Belleville, MI. All drivers are welcome, and no pre-registering is nessesary.
http://www-personal.umich.edu/~alfa/auto-x.htm
It'll be my first event - If you see somebody running around like a little school girl screaming her head off, feel free to introduce yourself.
Event Details
Unless there are links above, all the events will be run with the following details for the 2005 season:
Tech and Registration open at 10am, close 1pm
First car should be at 11am or so
ALL DRIVERS WELCOME!!!
Cost- TBD, as our insurance rates have gone up...
The events will be run in council format, which means that there are no heats- each driver will run when they want, and hot laps are allowed.
Entrants will be asked to see a valid drivers license and proof of registration.
Weather permitting, we will be doing fun runs. These will be free to all who work the event, and $2 per run for those who don't. For AROC members, we get unlimited fun runs at the end of the event.

Yes indeed. I live in Ann Arbor which is sorta equidistant from three different regions/clubs. I have my calendar marked up with every Sunday in May and a bunch more throughout the summer with events from Detroit-SCCA, NWOR (north west ohio), and AROC (always in belleville). All the schedules are online, and the AROC one is in that link. It would be great to see you at an event!
I should be getting my new integra this june or july. So after that I will be running it. I have participated in a few autocrosses in the west michigan area and I had a great time. I actually even went to one at Tire Rack. So maybe I will see you at an autocross this summer. Keep posting the events, The next one I can make I will be there.

My first Autocross is tomorrow!
I totally cleaned out my car, it was quite exciting:
I only have one concern: what kind of chalk/shoe polish will work? That's the only thing that I don't have.
EDIT: Actually, I have two more concerns. I don't have a helmet, but I'll assume they rent them. And also, I don't have a rearview mirror. It came off, I can fix it, but I don't have the time right now. I'll also assume that this doesn’t constitute a safety violation.

Something about the weather...
There was no official announcement. I showed up before registration opened, so there just a bunch of groups congregated around their cars. All of a sudden all the nice cars were leaving one after another, so I followed them and was informed at a traffic light that it was cancelled.
My first event is still yet to come!
It was still quite the experience to go there though. I saw 4 Miatas among various RX-7s, 240s, Supras, and s2000s. Looks like I'll represent the fwd in this region
