Default Dunlop SP Super Sport Race tires

One person I know tried these and told me they gripped better than Toyo RA-1. Unfortunately only 5 sizes are available and out of the 5, 4 are 18"

Looks like it has potential and they are fairly cheap. I was considering using these since I have 0 chance of winning in ASP in any of my local regions.

Any one driven on these?

I would personally go with the Kumho V710s for a DOT R tire when the newer sizes come out. I've seen the results and it's pretty awesome.

I've heard great things about the V710 as well. I need 255/40/17 :happysad:

I also need to drive to and from events, which is why i was looking at RA-1s previously. It would suck to drive in the rain in the V710 at free way speeds.

I figured I can attend the last 1/2 of the years events which goes on til October then the wet rounds start and end around january (right in the middle of the rainy season).

Yokohama A032R?

Just drive in a street tire class if you don't want to change your lazy ass tires

I like hanging around the hot pit with the GT2, 996TT, Z06 and other cool cars that whip my ass each event

Plus the owners are really cool people and I like to listen to what they say about each run That and street tire class has 80-100 cars and thats along ass wait in between runs.

It's not that I don't want to change my tires. I can only carry 3 tires mounted on wheels. If I can fit all 4, I'd bite the bullet and buy a set of Kosei K1 with V710 or Victoracers.

I'm going to ponder and see what else might work...
