Default SM Civic questions...

I am building up a 5th gen, cx or vx hatch for the SM class in my local area. I was wondering what spring rates to run? I will have a B18B from my crashed integra going into it. Also how much of the interior can you strip out in that class, because I have a daily driver, Saab 9000 Turbo, so I will build my civic for mainly an autocross and weekend car.

Thanks in advance for the suggestions.

P.S. If you have any other suggestions on civic setup, SM setup, or anything else please post I am very interested.

You run the highest your butt can stand Really. I know STS guys running 700-900 springs and even one guy in a Celica running 1000. Comfy for the street? It's all opinionated.

You can only take out stuff behind the front seats. Best person to ask though is Chris Travis who built a 5th Gen Civic with a B18 (I believe) and does very well and I think trophied at Nationals in 2004. He's Rodney on HT.com

Headliner is not behind the rear seats. Not sure about carpet though.

Thanks

I checked out your site, your civic is real nice, I'm not a big fan of graphics, but yours look pretty good. I was wondering do you race on those 17's. because I would think that would slow you down a lot on an autocross course. I saw that you had some sort of 15's for racing, but in all the pictures including the autocross event pictures it appeared you had the 17's.

My only car right now is my 00 blue Civic Si. The 1993 Civic Ex I sold about 5 years ago. Those 17s were from my show days
