Alignment: stock or altered for class?
Hey everyone,
I'm in need of an alignment and will get one soon. However, I wanted to bring up the question of slightly altering it for autocrossing. I drive a 98 Honda Civic DX which puts me in the HS class. I haven't met a single person in my class at the events and the more experienced drivers keep telling me to mess with my camber a little bit so it would help. The thing is, I don't know anything about adjusting my camber. So, stock Honda Civic DX, should I keep it stock or play around with it? If so, what should be the specs? Thanks.

camber isn't adjustable on your civic.. all you can do is mess with your toe.. caster, maybe..
if you want an autocross alignment, shoot for 1/8" toe out in the front, and 1/16 to 1/8" toe out in the rear. this should help your car rotate..

I would actually recommend a more conservative setting at least for now since this is your first year. Plus too much toe out can cause a daily driver to be skitterish on the highway and cause excessive tire wear.
Go for 0 toe front and back. Ask the shop before they do it though. Some places will only set alignment settings to stock.
