WRX autox and road course
simply stated, how is the WRX at autocross and road racing compared to like an ITR or something of that nature. i seem to beat them all the time in my GSR but they could just be bad drivers. ive heard roumers that they handle like a bus. is this true? if so, what kind of suspension mods, if any, can be done to make it handle like an ITR or better? thanks

I think the Type R is better suited for autocrossing than the WRX. The WRX tends to have cornering problems because it pushes and pulls at the same time, which causes some weird understeering issues. I know my one friend went from a WRX to a Type R and he's much faster. He had both cars prepped to the limits and he went from like 1/2 second behind the leaders to beating them.
But in the rain there's no doubt the WRX is better with the AWD. Also the Type R is about 600lbs lighter than the WRX. Power isn't everything at an autocross. But what I couldn't believe was the new BMW 330Ci and how well someone did. Actually took 1st, 3rd and 4th (I belileve) at Nationals this year.
