can a 90 std hatchback handle as good as a ITR?

Default can a 90 std hatchback handle as good as a ITR?

what is needed to make it possible?

It depends on what you want to use it for. One thing nice about the 90 Civic is it's about 300-400lbs lighter than the Type R stock vs. stock.

But in a road race the 90 Civic wil get slaughtered due to the higher horsepower Type R. If you had a small autocross course the 90 Civic might fair better.
