my dad has a 1978 MG midget, (MKII?), and a 1959 Austin-Healey Sprite, bugeye, (MKI?) putting out a whopping 47 hp off the production line.
I already went to the link, the healey sprites and the midgets were made on the same production line, the only differences are the bonnets, headlights and badges. They had closer to 70HP stock at the flywheel. You can build them up closer to 120
.
As for the mk's of the MG cars, it's much simpler to group them by chrome bumper cars, chrome w/ rubber overriders, and rubber bumper cars, since the only mechanical changes came with the different bumper changes to meet US safety laws.
I work on MG's at a restoration shop, and I must say, my favorite so far has to be a B owned by a customer that had this engine setup:

there is a 305 with turbo and a 100 shot in town right now, my dad's a little into that. he's at a show today, he took both his cars with a mechanic friend of his.
