Default 8 weeks

If all goes well I should be graduating in 8 weeks. But the last few days I am asking myself have I done the right thing. Yes I know its a bit too freaking late to ask that question. I always loved music and spend my teenage years writing and playing music. I wanted to go to Berklee and get a degree in music even though I knew I'd be hurting for a job. Now I rarely play or write anything and I feel kinda bad.

Guitar, I started playing when I was 12. I spent 2 years getting classically trained and then spent 4 years after that on a regular course. I even taught music when I was in HS and now I ain't even half as good as I was a few years back. Just kills me because I can hear all these songs in my head but I can't write them because I am so outta practice.

Yeah sounds like a good hobby for you. I've studied the violin and played professionally, now I'm a steel engineer...go figure. I say just try to get back into the groove of playing on a regular basis. It'll keep you sane

I think I need to sell my guitars and just wipe the thoughts clean. I know if I start thinking about it I am gonna spend more hours playing and am gonna end up hurting myself.

Why ignore the gift you were given? Embrace it.

Because I know that I can never make enough money as a musician to support myself or my family. I know in the music business talent counts for squat, you either know someone or you don't. Back in the day you had to know your instrument, now you can fake it and get away with it.
