I reported as per my Jury Summons. :squint:
Waited 3hrs, only to spend 35 seconds in front of the judge with my class schedule.
[The judge quickly realized that if I served on the jury for this very drawn out civil case, I would essentially forfeit any progress in class for the semester, and push back my transfer to SDSU by a year.]
Needless to say, I was excused in the end.
:eh:
Still scrooed me in terms of missing ENGL 151 and POLS 101 though. Both of which are vital classes for my transfer to SDSU...grrrr.
Spent the afternoon doing academic research for Political Science and another long-winded analytical essay on family life...(groan)...

I had jury duty last week, but I phoned in, and they said I didn't have to go

You shoulda told the judge you were a violent racist that hates everybody. Then they wouldn't have made you serve.

On all of my previous summons, my juror group has been excluded altogether. This time, due to the nature of the case being tried, they needed a very large pool of potential jurors. This case will take for at least four months.
So everyone was required to show up this morning, and wait for the morning pre-trial motions to be heard before even seeing the judge. That alone took three hours. :squint: I do want to serve at some point, but with my transfer coming up, now sure isn't the best time for me...
