Default Another workout question.

When I lift, I noticed I'll lift more and do more reps when I'm alone at my house than when I was going to the gym. I know I'm really self conscious about lifting, so I can't focus as much at a gym than when I'm at home. Anyone else like this?

I worry too much about being watched h:

I don't care about people watching. I just care about getting good jerks and lifts for each rep :naughty: Seriously I don't mind people around cause they have the same purpose as I do when I go to the school gym or what not :wiggle:

I hate lifting in a gym. I workout mych better at home. I think it is a combination of things.

1. not having to impress anyone in the gym
2. being able to pump my own music
3. feeling more comfortable in my enviornment

I have an awesome gym at home. I'll have to take pictures of it and post it sometime :rick:

I hear ya. I think it's because I'd rather blend into the background. When I lift at home, I just focus and get down to bidness.

When I go workout everything I need to worry about I lose it in the front door. I go lift as hard as I can just focusing on that. When I leave I care about the more "important" things again I guess

I'd much rather be at the gym. It's the whole social atmosphere and just hanging out and talking to people. It's alot more helpful when you start out too cause you have people who are willing to spot the new guy and give him tips.

I just like it alot more :dunno:

That's the thing, I hate working out as is. So, I'd like to spend as little time working out as possible, which is why I like lifting at home. I have enough at home for a decent workout and it's all at my disposal, so I can cut down the amount of time, drastically.

and that last comment :ugh:
