I would figure you would have some say but that is probably cause I did, but then again I came up with the cash. I would yell at my parents if they dictated my life like that.

What power does she have over her parents? None. If someone was buying me any $40k I don't think yelling at them is really appropriate. Although in Lauren's case her "Dad" is a terrible human being who I wish was dead.
