Update on Luis
Hey everyone.
Canada and I just got back from visiting Luis, so I wanted to update ya'll.
Today they moved him from the trauma center to the psych center. It took us about an hour to find his room, and we got there just as visiting hours ended. He had a bunch of his friends and family there, so he's not lonely
Anyway, we were able to talk to him for a couple of minutes before they kicked us out. He looks good, he's kinda drugged up though. We were able to joke around and act pretty normal considering the circumstances.
I told him about the thread and the card you guys did (my printer didn't print it out right...) and he seemed really happy to hear about it. I also brought him a pink care bear (cheer bear!) and the november issue of playboy...it should make his time with Jose (his new "roommate") a little more bearable.
Anyhow, physically he seems really well. He did have surgery though, so he can't walk very well and he's a little weak. But he doesn't seem in pain and he's concious and walking around, so that's a good sign.
He'll be able to check out of the hospital in a week.
Hopefully he'll be back on the board causing chaos pretty soon.

I'm glad to hear he's doing all right. Seems like a more lax hospital then I was in, I only had an hour to see my parents and I had to go to the cafeteria to talk to them. They really do check and see who visits him and how much, it means he has good support outside the hospital when he gets out. Is he going to be able to walk, or is it going to take awhile?

Great to hear that he's physically well now. Let's just hope he can recover mentally soon and NEVER try that shit again
