my auto class is boring as hell
first few weeks, it was ok, started out watching vids and doing worksheets and shiet, then started getting into hands on stuff actually working on some cars. but now, i do nothing. kids will bring in their cars and work on them, i'll stand around and watch them, or be sitting outside watching the time crawl by. the class is like an hour 45 mins long, i usually leave about an hour before its over. the class is worth double credits and if it werent for that, i'd probably have dropped it by now.
:werd: My class is exactly like that except my class is a hour and 30 mins long.
First you have to take auto/tech 1 which is a semester and you do small gas engine crap then you take Auto Tech 2 were you are not in the class room at all, no papers, nothing. You'll get a A no matter what. He doesent even take attendence :lmao:. Hes a flake. I play cards in the class room with friends most of the time. I dont do hands on work at all.
Our projects right now are:
97 Ford Explorer-Trying to find a wire that is touching ground! Its been here for a fawking year!
98 BMW 7 series- not sure but the seats are torn up and last time I looked at it some kid was tangling the wires.
Race Truck- Suposed to be ready saturday but the motor is having over heating problems and they need some parts.
85 Rabbit- putting a 96 golf motor in it. Dident think it would work but its in there right now mounted up and everything. They jsut have to get axles and wire everything up I beileve and get the Belts on and everything.
And I dont do a damn thing.
h: . But try to do something. Usually when you do you wont get bored and tend to like that class.

Check all the electricals like the lights, turn signals, etc... whatever until you find out exactly what that ground is preventing from making work. Once you know that bust out the EWD (Electrical Wiring Diagrams). Trace the circuit and find out what the last thing that works is before the ground. Than bam you know where the ground is. The theory is simple.
The Multimeter is your best friend. Use the leads to test the OHMs of the wire you think is the problem. If you get open lead than that is what is grounding out, if you get OHMs than that is not your problem.
