E46 is a compact rwd sports sedan with some luxo bits. TL is a big-end-of-midsize fwd near luxury sedan with some sportyness.

Competitors they are not.

I saw a few of them yesterday during my car shopping escapade. They are hot! :thumbup: The dealers were taking turns driving them around the parking lot.
