Default PS2 Owners Help

I can load anything except my Sharkport (lets me hack files on the PC) PS2 Disc.

The disc is scratched but i've always had major problems loading it even when it was new.

If I shake my PS2 I can hear the laser reading but otherwise it just grinds. Advice? upside down? Any load methods?

I took mine apart a month or two ago because nothing was loading. I cleaned the laser very carefully with a q-tip(dry) and since then it's worked fine.

I cleaned my laser with q-tip and rubbing alcohol. I also cleaned the rails that the laser slides on. Mine works great now. No more Disc read error.

I fixed it with some cleaning kit. Special disc with some bristles that cleaned it while the audio played. Kind of cool. Some scratch remover also cleaned the disc up a bit. It works, not a gimmick. I recommend it to anyone who has devices that need cleaning.
