No no, talking top of the class here, not the basic V6 classes...

Like M series vs AMG series...

How about Brabus?

Oh, I think the S-Class AMGs are pretty nice. Brabus makes nice body kits.

Hey Rick, what's that corporation that is a bunch of companies for Porsche, MB, BMW and volks. The one that owns AC Schnitzer and Techart.

I didn't think they were that new as I was sitting in one this past summer at a display. It is by far my favorite Benz. The overall feel and quality of it is really good, unlike most Benzes I've been in. It doesn't even bother me that they are automatic because if you've ever driven any auto Benz you will instantly understand why MB is considered to make the best auto trannies. They are so smooth and when you nail the gas it downshifts and GOOOOESSS. None of that shitty feel that all the Japanese autos I've driven feel. E55 owns the M5 in my opinion, and the next M5 will most likely be ugly and hideous as all new BMWs are, so E55 will still own that.

Yeah they LOOK nice but, meh. I think it's just their rims. :fawk:

I've only driven an E55 and SLK 32 so my experience isn't great but compare an SLK 32 to an M3 and the SLK 32 is like a robot (think Arnold) while the M3 is like a HOT girl you want to redline every corner. My 2 cents, I know someone will disagree.

Its all good.

I agree with the auto tranny statement... I've never seen or heard of another stock automatic that's anything like it... supposedly loses much less power in the transfer than 95% of the other lazy-matics out there.

I love meh teh E55 and the majority of their designs right now are light years away from what B(angle) M(utilation) W(erken) seems capable of.
The CL and SL lines are just drop dead  GORGEOUS!

Admittedly, the 3-valve heads are a bit of a backwards step I think. But the performance is pretty impressive; also, equpping the cars with rack & pinion steering (finally) is a big improvement as far as steering feel and responsiveness.
