What's going on with LT thread.
 

Well, I am just now counting down the matter of days I leave Turkey (for security reasons, I will not give specific dates).

End of this month I fly back home to spend about a month of leave back in the Philadelphia area...back to driving the MR2...maybe selling it...seeing family and friends...being lazy.

End of November I catch a flight to Seattle to grab the military "rotator" that is Yokota AB-bound. If you don't know, Yokota AB is 40 minutes from downtown Tokyo...basically in Tokyo suburbs. I'll be stationed there for at least 2 years or [if reenlist] longer. I cannot live off-base since I am single so I live in a dorm....again, like I do currently here.

Once there, I plan to get a car. MR2, ITR, Skyline....something along those lines will be mine. Unfortunately, taxes are so high there that it will hurt me monetarily in the short run.

Work-wise...the systems I'll be maintaining I have already worked on for several years...best part is I'm fully qualified on these systems so I'll just be kicking back and enjoying Japan.


I won't turn this into a "what JDM goodness can I send you!?!?!?!" thread.

Congrats on getting a better station to be located. Enjoy the city but get out into the countryside too, it's gorgeous and there is a lot to see there.

Werd, good stuff. I fucking loved Japan. If I visit again within the next two years, I'm going to holla at you. We go get some ramen and knock down some sake. Good to hear everything is straight with you.
