know Perl or CGI?

I'm trying to figure out exactly how to read and edit a CGI ".cgi" document. I'm kinda "Googling" for editing software but haven't had any luck. WTF doesn't Dreamweaver MX have CGI editing capability? :madfawk:

I'm running Mac OS X BTW
