My dog got into a bees nest yesterday
:happysad: We tied him out.. like we usualy do in the summer months for the past 13 years of his life. Well.. we were fixing the speakers in Jackie's Yota, and we needed to make a quick run to the local hardware store for a nut and bolt. Gone for literally 10 mins. So.. we come home, pull into the driveway.. and the dog's crying. (I assume he's just excited to see us.. he always cries when he sees one of us come home.) But then I notice he's running around in a circle.. and not acting right. Jackie points out there's bees all around him. So I run out of the car and run over to him and there's at least 10-15 bees around him, and he swiping at his ear and crying. So, I quick grab him off the leash (which he had tangled around the steak) and bring him inside. There's at least four dead bees on him. (Bees die after they sting) He's panting and pacing around, his tongue is grey. Fortunatly, we have an 24/7 Emergency Animal hospital near by.. so I call them first... and they say to bring him in immediatly.
So they give him meds.
And he's fine.
Cliff notes: Leave dog alone outside for ten minutes, and the dummy sticks his nose in bees nest, gets stung multipal times, have to rush him to the emrgency vet place. And now he gets to eat ham with 15 mgs of Benydryl hidden inside.

My dog used to bite at wasps and hornets alot so they would sting his face.
He'd always get stung right above the eye and it would swell up. Look like he got punched in the face.

^ :chuckles: Poor pups. I wouldn't have worried as much if it wasn't for his age. Like I said... he's 13... and I could tell he was having a hard time breathing already. :happysad:
