Ya but I'm being forced to write it for English class for use as a possible college essay. I also don't really want to go to Rutgers...
Dear Admissions Fuks,
My parents named me ____. My parents raised me. My parents bought my car. My parents made me the way I am. If you do not accept me, you will be implying my parents have failed.
Thank you for your consideration.

Actually I wanna go to Seton Hall if I dont get in to NYU...in the same state at least...
Loans for the rrrrrrrrrest of your life? Financial aid doesn't pay for THAT much.
My parents aren't loaded. And I'm not getting any loans with my dad out of work
Oh well, life could be a lot worse.

Figure total expenses at your typical in-state school are $15k a year. For four years that's $60k. Even if financial aid only gives you $5k a year that's still $20k less that you have to pay interest on. Once you get out of school with that spiffy college edumacation then you can work on paying off the loans.
It ain't living in the lap of luxury but pretty much anybody can afford to go to college assuming they become gainfully employed afterwards. It's the one time where I'm not vehemently opposed to taking out a loan when you clearly don't have the means to pay for the thing otherwise (i.e. you're not buying a car with the money).
