All my behind the times but I finally picked up a ps2 today, had the cash to spare for once. I grabbed Metal Gear Solid 2 but I'm looking for a good Role Playing Game to get for it. Always loved RPGs.

Suggestions?

 

FFX....Xenosaga....Kingdom Hearts

 

forget FFX. Kingdom Hearts ended off being pretty decent. Xenosaga I have yet to play.

out of those three square titles I'd go with Kingdom Hearts.

 

any good RPGs for the PC guys?

 

Fallout....RPG of the year in 97...lol

Kingdom Hearts was pretty good....

XenoSaga was good as well.....Wild Arms 3 is a old school type of RPG....then there's Suikoden 3, which IMO is one of the better RPGs out there

 

If you like convoluted and very deep plots, play Xenosaga. Xenosaga boasts over eight hours worth of scene dialogue to keep you interested in the story, so you will never get bored of it.

Final Fantasy X was a good RPG, but I thought it was a bit overrated.

Kingdom Hearts is actually a pretty good RPG, definately worth a rental, in my opinion.

I have not played Suikoden III, but I really want to.

 

I heard some excellent words about the .hack series.

FFX was my personal favorite of the Final Fantasy series...

Xenosaga was awesome, but you don't get the advertised 80 hours of gameplay... I beat it in like 35, and that was with a couple "ran out to do errands with the PS2 on" jaunts

Also, see if you can a copy of Frequency used... I got mine for $11 from a store, and it's a incredibly fun and difficult arcade-style game.

 

I'm going to get Suikoden III and Xenosaga. Maybe FFX if I can find it cheap.
