I've noticed that a great number of people like to lie about what's under their hood, when asked.

Usually, this isn't a problem at a track, where people can just peek in while the hoods are open for inspection, and people just seem more honest.

What bothers me, is when someone claims they dont have anything, in order to be setup with people who are zero competition for them. Do you just get a thrill out of beating a non-turbo dsm with your turbo or swapped civic? laddy-freaking da. "Cheater" nitrous systems (the tiny bottle, hard-to-detect ones, you know what i mean) are also pretty shitty..

I just dont get it.... I think a race is infinitley more fun between almost equal cars and drivers.

hell yeah, i raced my bone stock 2000 4dr civic vs my friends stock: 90 eclipse GS, 88 Pulsar and the best race ... 89 CRX

I know I have a slow car, but man... Ill have a lot more fun racing a stock civic SI or 'teg LS, or something else in the high 15/low 16 range.



(Lets not hound about details or turn this into a pissing contest, as every kill story turns out to be... this is me venting )

 

Racing isn't exactly good clean fun if you see it that way. It's all part of the package.
