Anyone been to UTI or know people who do?
Does anyone know of anyone or has been to UTI? Universal Technical Institute? I'm planning on going there because I'm just plain out sick and tired of college and all the shit I have to go through. Has anyone heard any good or bad news from it? Maybe get into the Hot Rod or Nascar tech part of UTI...

I was supposed to go to the AZ region site but that didn't work out. Somewhat of a dirty shop but it has everything there. The people that go there are sort of n00bs but maybe that's because I went to the first class of the month for some ppl just to check it out. I'll be back next year the AZ one. I think there's one in Houston if I'm correct

Just a word of advice, You may learn quite a bit, but you won't have a job worth a crap after you're done with that place. Everyone is outsourcing to India. Just look at Sprint who is doing it now. This is where I work for the time being until they give me the boot.

Not sure about the job placement thing. Except that they gave me a bunch of numbers and facts. I told the recruit guy again what is the job market like? And he said they'd help me find a job if I was to graduate right after. He said most of his students who do good in the school are given jobs at the BMW, Porsche, and Audi place. And if you were to take the diesal part of the course Mercedes :dunno: Gotta ask your recruit on that :wtc:

I just really hope it's worth the $$. At least if I get placed in a dealership...it's ok. I'll be a grease monkey all my life until I save enough to open my own shop...
