Default Hmm....should I do it?

OK...here we go

When I was little I always wanted to become a police officer. As I grew up and went through school, my objectives and long term goal changed.

Today I just had a thought....why do I want to become an Accountant? Is that what I want to do? Do I really like being an Accountant? The fact is that I am only going to school for a BA in Bus Ad: Accounting....I've never been full blown Accountant. I just don't know

What is it that is stopping me from doing what I've always wanted to do? To think of it....nothing. So why the hell not? I am seriously considering trying out for the local PD this November or maybe even next month ... I'll also check out their educational assistance program as well.

Though I am almost done with school, I am seriously getting sick and tired of sitting my ass in a cubicle all day long......answering phone calls I'd rather be patrolling the neighborhoods knowing that I make a difference in the community I grew up in.

Wish me luck guys

Only if you give us PBA cards.

seriously... do what you always wanted. They way I see it... if you're not doing what you love... you haven't fully succeded. I have an office job now... it's good money... but.. it's not what I want to do. I'm going to school for what I want to do. Even if I end up getting less money (which I doubt.. but.. just what if) it wouldn't matter.. cause it's something I would love to do and I would love waking up every morning.

Being a firefighter is much more fun and you can control the outcome of more situations than you can as a cop. I myself personally wouldn't do it. THe divorce percentage of cops is crazzzyyyy! Unless you never plan on having a family.... they usually start you out making shit money and the only way you make your money is by working lots of overtime... hence divorce whens your wife gets sick of it. Just my .02....

PS. If you do become a cop don't let the power trip go to your head.

The first thing I am going to do is pull over the damn ricers with 50 ft wings and excessive stickers :rick:

Ok...seriously I don't really care about the divorce rates. I am not involved with anyone right now, but my on going motto is that she should know what she is getting herself into. She should accept me for who I am and what I do for a living....just like how I would accept her for who she is and what she does.

Isn't there a height and age limit to be an officer HAHAH JP But I've been having second thoughts to. Working on POS Buicks or any other cars for that matter hasn't appealed lately. I've been more into gaming lately. So I was thinking of taking couple more programming class next quarter and trying to get into the Playstation and XBox program we have at our school. :hs: Not sure what I'm going to do either. But my plans still go, I've saved up $250 for AZ so far lol Going to add more when I get a job hopefully and be able to head back to Devil town. I might also live in CA for a half a year with my grandma so I can start looking for a house in AZ for my dad to buy :wiggle: :exnbp:

Good points jimmy. There's a reason why Phoenix cops quit left and right all the time
