Default I got my car corner weighted!!

Thanks to my homie from Dave Turner Motorsports in San Diego, my car now sports a 49.8/50.2 cross weight distribution, with me in the car, and system in the trunk....(the front/rear distribution was 58 percent front, 42 rear)

My car has never handled better....how does a 25 mph on-ramp taken at 60-65 redlining second, and a 45 mph sweeper taken at 105 sound?

i dont plan on it. it was my friend who was driving at those crazy speeds, but he's the one with all the road racing and track event experience, and just overall bad ass driving skill that i dont plan on imitating.

its pretty amazing how sensitive the weight distribution is though...

like when i have my left arm leaning on the door, and my head on my hand (gangsta lean, yo), it makes like a 30 pound difference in the distribution, as opposed to hands on the wheel at 10 and 2. I couldnt believe the difference.....i highly highly recommend this procedure to anyone who has a coilover sleeves or systems....

step 1. take everything out of the car that is normally not in there, and leave everything that usually is (autolock, club, cd's etc.)

step 2. measure the wheelbase and track of your tires
step 3. get the 4 scales and make sure they are on perfectly level ground. if you're getting it professionally corner weighted, there are lasers and high precision gauges involved to get a perfectly level surface for the scales (which is what i had done  )
step 4. make sure that all tire pressures are even.
step 5. get the car on the scales (one scale per tire)
step 6. evaluate the weight distribution, and adjust accordingly, until desired weight/cross weight distribution is achieved.
step 6b. while in the car, sit in normal driving position and dont move, as the scales are constantly reading the changes in weight..

My front driver side was carrying an additional 125-135 pounds than the front passenger side. not terrible, but not so hot either...the cross distribution was pretty off as well, at 57/43 percent...

to get the weight off the front d/s, we lowered the passenger side rear a half an inch, and raised d/s rear a half inch. everything is affected diagonally. we could have adjust the fronts as well, but it wasnt necessary.

it takes a few tries to get it just right, but now the front d/s and p/s are within 8 pounds and the rears are within 3 pounds.

There might be other steps i'm leaving out, but thats pretty much it...

Freakin awesome i tells ya
