Default bootable cd rom help?

Anyone have any experiance making a bootable CD with like DOS 6.22 and some extra files?

My floppy drive isn't working and I am trying to do a M/B BIOS update. I've made a few coasters already h:

I can get them to boot... but they don't show the extra files that I need for the flash.

Using Nero 5.5.

yea. but it needs a bootable floppy disc to copy the files from. I dunno. It needs at least a "bootable" image file to copy from. Weird.

So I got it going... not like I was planning. But I flashed it to the current, ok now.

Took out the old busted floppy drive and leeched one from another pc. Put that in and for some reason windows could see the disc fine... but the pc couldn't boot from the floppy. :dunno:

Sooooo... I took one of the bootable DOS 6.22 cd's that I had made... put the bios flash stuff on the floppy... booted from the cd... then jumped to the floppy and ran the flash util. Did that 3 times for the 3 new bios updates and worked like a charm. :yay:

I'll have to remember this ghetto setup if I ever have this problem again.

Go figure, it's a PIII 700 too. Wouldn't think I'd have this many problems. oh well.
