I hear it's better to get two 256MB sticks rather than one 512MB stick...unless it has ECC. Something about the bigger the stick, the more likely it's going to have errors.

Hmm... Haven't heard of that one... I should check the prices on two 256MB sticks now...

oh...and make sure your motherboard supports PC3200...and if it does support it, make sure it supports it with your processor. Some motherboards only support it if you're running the new P4s that have an 800MHz FSB. Otherwise, just get PC 2700...should be a little cheaper.

if you want the best game performance you should get ram that runs latency 2....2.5 and 3.0 is slow
it should have tight timings all together tho
my ddr400 is at 2(latency),3,3,6

you can still overclock if you want with any ram, say its timings are 2.5,3,3,7
relax those to 3.4.4.8 and you can run the ddr400 at a higher frequency

looks like the HyperX is CL2, the ValueRAM is either CL3 or CL2.5.

Mine's CL2 and I didn't even consider that when I bought it. h:
