they're a bit bigger in all dimensions than the ipod....i heard the interface sucks....i played with one at compusa and i say it would if you had a ton a files that were playable

the screen is very small, smaller than a GBA.....its great if you can handle that

i just like its cause its got more space for cheaper, the screen size doesnt really bother me, ill just use the RCA outputs and hook it up to my tv.. i have access to a shitload of music divx and xvid movies here at school, and im running out of space on my harddrive. h:

They're bigger, heavier, and fuglier than an iPod...

Well, I guess I'm biased cause I currently own an iPod... but that thing has literally been at my side for like nearly 2 years straight now. It is the best MP3 player designed to date...

And even with the first gen 5GB models, I'm not limited at all... I usually have at least 3 days worth of music to flip around in at any given point.

Ipod: 6.2 ounces 2.4 x 4.0 x .73 inches

That thing: 2.3" x 2.1" x 1.2" 1.5 oz

Just thicker 1.5 oz doesnt seem right but thats what it says on the site.

That's the weight of the video adapter that lets you watch TV, so ADD those dimensions to the size of the Archos itself

4.3'' x 3.1'' x 1.1'' 10.23 oz

So that thing, with adapter, is over half a foot long and weighs nearly a full pound.

:ghey:

Anyways, what looks better:

This

Or

This:

I rest my case
