how long have you had your phone? i think the rule for upgrading with verizon is if you're going to a plan $50 or more a month, or if you've had your phone for at least 22 months.

ive had this tm510 since march 02. so its been over 2 years. ive been on their $35 plan. it comes out to $37 after taxes, so thats what i like.

verizon's cheapest national plan is $40, which will be close to $50 after taxes.

i dont know if i should just get the local plan that starts at $29.h:

but if i stick with my current plan, will that $199 price be the price i pay for the phone? or is that only new activation?

My plan is $40 a month including web access and that still seems pricey to me. Hell my cell phone is my only phone too.

Phones are getting outrageous these days. Do you really need a camera on your cell phone?? I'll admit it that I like where you can get different songs as ring tones.

since its been more than 22 months you should be able to keep your plan and just upgrade your phone at the discounted price.

poor reception, poor website data speed and no touch screen so you have to either open the face to dial or use the wheel to scroll thru address book/number pad
