to my girlfriend one night while we were waiting to eat at Chili's. accross the street there is a diamond jewerly place. and i told her i need to go there soon. she said ok. ive told her before and she usually says not yet blah blah blah...but she didnt this time...would this be good or bad...im :nervous: now....lol...

go for it man. Good luck with it. What kind of cut does she want? That could play a big part in how much it sets you back. I know cause I went ring shopping with my best friend who got married last year. It was quite an education for me. Some cuts can make diamonds look really small and thus look like you got her a cheap diamond when infact it is a decent sized one

 

I have purchased a 1.01 ct Radiant cut. It looks bigger than it is.

Ahhh...I remember being dragged into the jewelry store. I think every phrase out of my mouth to the salesperson was "we're just looking." But I guess I got it easy as she picked out exactly what she wanted and I made note of it for when I actually went and bought the ring 5 months later. It's a very nerveracking experience, but well worth it.:thumbup:

 

Well it depends on you if its a good thing or a bad thing. You should take her to the store and see if she is for real or not. It would either make or break her if she wanted to get married that is.:thumbup:
