do they even know how small earth is compared to the space around it. chances of it hitting earth is SLLLLLLIMMMMM. *knock on wood*

well this is lovely news! HOW DO THEY KNOW!!!!! it's all estimates. we're all going to die sometime...DESTINY BABY! if thats they way we're to go..then more power to the big ball of fire!! h:

Science honey it can do a lot of interesting things. You look at the trajectory of the meteor... include minor changes in the earth's orbit... add the effects of the gravitational force as it comes closer and then look at prior statistics and boom you can predict where its gonna hit.
