the curb weight for a golf is 2,897 lbs and the gti is 2,932 lbs.

My mistake I mean curb weight not gross weight.

2,932 lbs. for the GTI 1.8T and 3,011 lbs. for the GTI VR6.

OK so we are talking a minor weight difference...so the VW being heavier still smoked it so I repeat my previous statement...or I could just say its like a Prelude.....the sports car that never was.

:werd: there is no way a GTI/golf is 3800lbs!

my old 96 GTI VR6 was 2800lbs

there was a poll on vwvortex about how people felt if vw was going awd w/ it's models. the majority wanted them to stay fwd. :ugh:
