Default Sobig Virus Help needed

Ok.

I have done Liveupdate, Norton, and the SoBig fix tool 11 gajillion times, and Im coming up clean. But why the **** do I get these emails that say "delivery status notification failure" that say Im sending emails(which couldnt be delivered) with the virus attached.

I never open attachments(nor does my family) so I dont get it. Im running XP with norton and a firewall, for reference.

change your password ... someone is in your email account sending out the viruses to people on lists.

no! dont change ur password...it means that someone who has your email address in their address book has the virus! my boyfriend was getting those emails...like 40 a day...we found a thing on AOL about it and it says that its NOT YOU that has it...it's someone else who has your email address...just delete them. theres no need to change passwords or anything! eventually that persons computer will crash or theyll catch the virus in theyre computer and you wont get them anymore...

This is the correct statement.

It's not YOUR computer or YOUR account. It's someone else pc that's messed up. Just happenes to put your email address as who it's from.

It's just another way for the virus to try and infect more computers. Just delete them. Changing your password is useless.

you wont recongnize anything! just delete them! its a bunch of fake crap and the virus' way of getting into your computer...obvious ur virus scans and firewall is working...so youre ok. just delete them and eventually theyll stop!
