soul calibur II...anyone has it yet/??
pretty badass game, its my favorite fighting game. but like all fighting games it becomes old after a while. it comes out for every system but each system has a exclusive character. gamecube gets Link from zelda, xbox gets spawn, and ps2 gets some guy from tekken, forgot his name. obviously the ps2 version is the pos one since the game is weapon style fighting game and the tekken guy doesn't have any weapons. plus his char is a pos anyways. i got the gamecube version cuz you get friken link, you can throw bombs, boomerang, and shoot your arrows at the enemy. I really like it for dreamcast and so far im enjoying soul calibur 2.
I bought it two days ago. I ran into Best Buy and saw some kid playing it on a widescreen, and I said to myself "I gotta have that". It's a pretty badass game, and the Tekken guy you're talking about Drew is Hiehachi. I loved the first one on Dreamcast, and knew I had to pick up this one.
reserved it before release, and picked up day of release.
badass game. I have it for xbox... and the loading times are non-existant, and quite an awesome fighting game. I highly recommend it... even EGM said its one of the best fighters ever produced....
its great ! definitley go for it

as mentioned... link is in gamecube only... spawn is xbox only... and hetachi (sp?) is PS2. Necrid is also a new character, that shows up on all systems, and some old-skool characters from the SC series have returned.... ones not on arcade.
If you've played the previous soul calibur, these names will sound familiar- Ivy, taki, mitsurugi, sophitia, seung mina, yoshimitsu, kilik, maxi... etc... there's a BUNCH.
I've yet to see a loading screen or a slow-down. Smooth as the other side of the pillow, and great for skilled, techincal masters and button-jammers alike. You can theoretically pick it up, and be semi-good at it in a few hours, since everyone's combos and moves are mostly simple repeated patterns.
Try it out. You'll probably like it... either hit it up in an arcade (uses PS2 chipset) or a demo-stand in a game store. Just dont use the xbox's fatty controller.. it sucks balls
