Davis: This is a great product, I had to erase your turbo h22 maps you had on this ECU.

i sort of want to get a TecIII but that's like $2400bucks :happysad:

but the gains were about 20hp at the wheel :shocked:

Is that the common ECU you Bimmer guys like to upgrade to, if anything? Don't know much about the Tec3, but the Tec2 was quite the bitch to program amongst the fast Honda guys back in the day.

well most bimmer guys don't upgrade the ecu at all, unless they go custom turbo. ususally just a reprogram of the stock ecu.

Tec3 is one that several people have modified to work with the OBDII ecus on E36 model M cars.

There is a shop near by where I live that is very successful with programming them.. but it takes nearly 3K since i'd need several hours of dyno time and tuning time on top of the tec3 and installation
