Default My problem with dell :ranting:

ok guys here's a bit of warning when buying
something online...make sure they have a real
store you can go to so in case you want to
return your product you can...

my latest and greatest ordeal entails the big
computer business dell. i had recently ordered
a 17 inch flat screen lcd monitor from them
which had stated it had no ghosting issues...for
those of you who don't understand the term
ghosting then disregard it... anyways when i had
received the item the image portrayed on the
screen was blurry beyond belief..in talking with
a dell customer service rep (took 2 hours to
reach one) i was then sent an exchange one.. but
to no avail this exchange was only slightly
better than the previous...so thus i was
dissatisfied and had to return the product. i
had scheduled the return for friday the 15th so
they could pick it up...i waited all day for
someone to come pick it up no one came..then i
called the courier service they set it up with
(airborne express) and they stated no pickup was
ever made. so i called dell the following day
and they said someone would come by and pick it
up on monday. so i waited monday and nothing..
then the cycle repeats itself. 3 days of
staying home and waiting for a person to make an
appearance to take away the horrid dell
monitor...all to no avail finally on today the
22nd i reach a customer service rep that does
everything because i explained to her my whole
ordeal...

no my word to the wise if u can't return it at a
real store then don't buy it or u run the risk
of not being able to get ur money back.. for me
in this case nearly 500 dollars

sorry for the ranting all

Hmm, Dell is usually pretty good about stuff like that.

I've never had a problem with Dell, they've shipped me new items without a problem when the carriers have lost them. They've given me extra discounts whenever something has been delayed or lost and usually give me free next day shipping upgrades. Then again, I usually order through small business and am never on hold longer than 5minutes.
