Saw it, it was pretty cool. Very bright red obviously. I saw it like last week and it was to the left of the moon from what I was looking from.

 

I set up my whole camera rig to get pictures of Mars. I have a 500mm lens. Saw mars last night, it was a bright red star (it rose on the horizon opposite of where the sun set). Using my 500mm lens, I got pictures of a slightly bigger red star. :dunno: Not quite what I was hoping for.

 

Hmm.. maybe I did see it... I saw a VERY bright star to the left of the moon...that I don't recall noticing before... that also had a slight redish tint... but someone told me that wasn't it.


I like to star gaze. :happysad:
