Looks like the crumple zones did their job. As long as no one got hurt, it's all good (sucks that the car is smashed up of course, but it's only car).

The one thing I learned from when my car was totalled is take everything you can that's valuable off before your insurance company takes it to the impound. I left 2 brand new snow tire's on and my alloy rim's at the time. I should have put it on blocks and stripped it.

I hope he gets feeling better, wreckes are the worst.
