in CA if a security guard detains you then you can have charges brought aganst the establishment/the guard/the company guard works for...

for illegal detainment... you have to make a citizens arrest. only cops can hold you for no apparent reason and get away with it :rick:

 

there's a thin line between what a securty officer can do and what a citizen can do as far as detainment... as for arrest.. all we can do is citizen arrests... i have yet to goto the detain and arrest tactics class... its in a week or so... and most peeps are idiot anyways and would let a security officer arrest them... if its an arrest we cant handle.. county is called...
