I gotta say, my Honda is about the greatest "beater" I've ever had. $2000 with only 900 miles on the motor. Great fuel economy. COLD AC!
What's funny is that an AWD DSM is faster than almost all MR2's Vette's and most Porsche's... A 13-second corvette killer for $400 is awesome. All you need is a boost controller, and a rewired fuel pump. I never thought someone would buy a DSM to keep the miles off of their Honda.
Hey Snatch. Like it or not, consider yourself converted! www.vfaq.com

lol yeah i was joking about running it into shit and destroying it, and yeah it is worth abit more than 400 my buddy was gonna sell it to some other dude for 1600 but he owed me and he said he would rather sell it to a good friend than some stranger so thats cool for me, im planning on buying a boost controler, and a hks supersequential BOV just cause i looove the sound it makes, im driving this in the winter cause i lowered my civic about 2.5 inches(i do have camber kits in the front and rear) and i dont so much feel like playing with the adjustables and having to align it every spring and fall, plus im too lazy to want to switch out winter wheels with summer wheels so i figured the AWD will be fun to have and it would save me some time frusteration prepping my car for winter/summer
edit: plus i have a free place to store the civic so all in all i figure storing the civic and buying a 400 dollar car so the honda dosent have to weather another shitty minnesota winter so why not :dunno:

i am envious. If you keep it out of the shop, you'll have a helluva fun winter
My old winter (well actually year round h: ) beater was a '77 olds 403ci 4bbl 98 regency, and then a '87 supra turbo. Both had terrible tires. Learning to drive those beasts in the winter has made me just about the best snow driver I know

winter beaters are great....nothin beats my 86 escort though...got it for a case of beer. All I had to do was fab. up a rear shock tower and weld it in real quick. Got me around for all of my engine swap on my civic, and is fantastic in the snow cause it doesnt make enough power to spin the wheels.
