Default Space and Oceans....

Why is it that we are constantly exploring space, but it seems that we aren't exploring our own oceans? Imagine what's down there... I know it's very expensive to build anything to would be able to get to the bottom of the ocean, and that manned submersibles can't reach great depths yet, but wouldn't you think we'd be trying to find more out about our own planet? nothing against space exploration.. I'm a fan of it, but can't help but wonder why.

'cause we know we're raping our planet and we need to find somewhere to go.

i think you just hear less about deep sea exploration than space exploration, though i would agree we do spend more money on space than deep see.

Because we're scared of the squids down there? Didn't one just wash up on a shore that weighed like 600 tons or whatnot? Yikes...
