My boss has a 99 328i and I suggested taking the chrome trim off and painting it black. He got pretty interested and wants to do it.

What would you guy's suggest and how do you get that trim off? Do you paint it while its still on?

You can take it off and paint it....that is the suggested method.

Usually it is held on with clips and comes out fairly easily. You can buy black trim for it but the black trim actually costs more than the chrome does...at least for Hondas it does....kinda odd huh:dunno:

 

What about Civic's h:, I hate that shit :sad:.

 

for the kidney grille, he can buy the black trim kit. other parts, he can have a body shop paint it for him.

You could always use electrical tape. :chuckles:

 

Same deal but black trim costs more than the chrome

sand down the chrome with some 1k or 2k grit and get a dark color paint of your choice and some clear coat and shoot it out.
