If you had to choose an engine option in a particular car

One engine is a 2.4 litre I4 that makes 200hp and 170ft-lb
and gets 30 miles to the gallon

or a 1.9 litre I-4 Diesel that makes 130hp and 230ft-lb
and gets 55 miles to the gallon

which would you rather choose

btw, both come with 6-speeds

oh yeah the diesel is turbo'd

and this particular diesel only needs a chip to unlock quite a bit of potential
