The 5 series is a lot of extra scratch compared to the 3 series, as well.

I hear the new Genesis coupe 2.0t is supposed to get the Sonata's 274hp motor, which would make it a lot more enticing than the 210hp in the current model. You could also pick up the new Subaru BRZ/Scion FR-S if you are wanting something small & sporty, but still reasonably economical, feature-packed and reliable.

If I'm going go for small/sporty, I was thinking more along the lines of a Miata. The Nissan Z is certainly nice, but they tend to be rather pricey. Don't know, many options - I'm not in a big hurry to decide on anything, unless gas goes over $6/gallon.

With the left over dough throw a k20 in or put a blower in the L15.
