Back from Japan and HK
Just got back last night. I got lots of pix, but not that many of cars. Dunno why but I didn't feel like taking pix, but I did get some....uploading now.
Japan:
A lot of nice cars in Japan, but all the ones that are modified are nice. You know how you see a lot of regular Civic's here with just mufflers and stickers? None of that in Japan. Everything is either stock and nice or souped up nicely.
I stayed in Tokyo but saw more modified cars outside, like near Mt. Fuji. Saw a lot of nice s15s. They were the most common there. A good number of Skylines, 2-door and 4-door too. Lots of souped up vans like the Estima, the newer version of the Previa here. Few lancers, WRXs...not that super common. Lots of Toyotas though. Chasers, Aristos.
I did not see one ae86.
I stayed at some hot springs resort one night and the mountain roads are exactly like Initial D! I wish I had a car to tackle the roads!

Hong Kong:
HK was a lot more fun. I went for a spin in the M3 as soon as I got there and scraped the front a few times just getting out of the apartment. Then I bottomed out the car on the way down the mountain. Then I nearly totalled the car and killed myself because I forgot for an instant the roads are opposite. What a nightmare. Then when I got to causeway bay, taxi drivers got pissed at me for parking on the road and I got fined $150 for parking.
Anyways I ended up borrowing my aunt's 330i for the rest of the trip if I wanted to go to far locations cause it had a parking sensor (so hard to park without it) and it's not as low.
Here's my uncle's 911. Notice the cardboard on the 330i. She put it there cause my uncle kept on denting her car.
