he's basically a street thug, brought out by eminem to make the white kid some money. He's all image.
Personally, i think he's horrible. I agree, little to no sense of timing, and his songs are obviously aimed at the teen-girl ears. Then again, many other pop sensations (especially millie vanillie)prove that you can make millions with no talent whatsoever.
To find a good rapper, go back 10-15 years or so... or look at someone like Jay-z, who never writes a single lyric down... he just walks into the studio, and belts it out.

off-topic, yet in response: Jay-Z gets on my nerves. Especially with shit like "If I am not better than BIG I am the closest one." He isn't crap compared to B.I.G. And I like some Jay-Z stuff. But If he was better or comparable to Big then he wouldn't steal ENTIRE versus from Big's songs and call them his own.
On-topic: I am not even religous and I love Bob Marley. He speaks on such a spiritual level, like whole-some and forfilling which is rare. His soothing voice and mild lyrics (obviously not on all songs, but clearly some of his most famous). Thats what i like about Bob anyway. He was real and he felt on the level. Just a man and his music baring it all for you the listener. (and da chronics, which is a religous thing for him, which rocks).
In short, I do gather that the board has spoken.
Oh, yeah, and da purson who dun said that Fiddy was betta den Bob Maarlee was an azz-at.
